Imagine some wide-eyed Northerners, given a fresh playground

by Warehouse-13 on Jun.21, 2009, under News

By MIKE HUGHES

Imagine some wide-eyed Northerners, given a fresh playground.

That’s what you have with “Warehouse 13,” the offbeat new cable series. It’s a fun place for two Secret Service agents – and for the actors who play them.

There’s the by-the-book Myka (Joanne Kelly) and the free-form Pete (Eddie McClintock). They’re re-assigned to a South Dakota warehouse that contains everything from Pandora’s box to Hitler’s microphone; a caretaker (Saul Rubinek) tries to control the artifacts while the agents face crisis. Classic Inspiration

by Warehouse-13 on Jun.19, 2009, under News

The main characters in SCI FI’s upcoming Warehouse 13 are FBI agents guarding supernatural artifacts, but their inspirations have more to do with classic romantic comedy stars such as Cary Grant, Myrna Loy and Katharine Hepburn, the series’ executive producers said.

Warehouse 13 pairs the reluctant agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bening and assigns them to track down and retrieve ancient and powerful artifacts scattered across the globe before they fall into the wrong hands. (continue reading…)

X-Files Intrigue

by Warehouse-13 on Jun.11, 2009, under News

A little bit of X-Files intrigue, a little bit of Indiana Jones-style supernatural archaeology and a whole lot of steampunk gadgetry fires up the pilot episode of Warehouse 13.

A clever drama debuting July 7 on Sci Fi Channel’s soon-to-be-renamed SyFy Network, the show follows feuding federal agents Pete and Myka (Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly, pictured above) when they get unhappily reassigned from Washington, D.C., to South Dakota. (continue reading…)

Guest Cast

by Warehouse-13 on Jun.07, 2009, under News

Warehouse 13 is Sci-Fi’s newest product that they’re giving a lot of advertising support to.

Sitting around watching the Sci-Fi (Soon to be SyFY) Channel I’ve noticed that the network is doing what they do best and that’s pummel the viewers with ads about the show repeatedly.

Warehouse 13 is about two Secret Service agents played by Eddie McClintock (Bones) and Joanne Kelly (Vanished, The Dresden Files) who get themselves transferred to a massive top-secret warehouse located in South Dakota. (continue reading…)

BSG Guests On ‘Warehouse 13

by Warehouse-13 on May.30, 2009, under News

It’s been pretty busy on the Battlestar Galactica front lately. It’s off air, sure, but inevitably one thing leads to another, and now, we have more former troopers showing up in another sci-fi series, and the soundtracks getting some love (and a release date).

First up, it’s been confirmed that three BSG stars will take roles in another series that will air on Sci Fi, Warehouse 13. Tricia Helfer will guest star as an FBI agent based in Chicago, while Michael Hogan will play the father of the show’s star, Myka, played by Joanne Kelly. (Funnily enough, the person playing Myka’s mom is Hogan’s real-life wife, Susan.) (continue reading…)

Reasons to Tune In

by Warehouse-13 on May.30, 2009, under News

With Battlestar Galactica and The Sarah Connor Chronicles now gone, I’ll be looking to Warehouse 13 for my summer sci-fi fix. Thankfully, it looks like a pretty cool show. I like the concept, and I’m digging the Whedonesque vibe of the Sci Fi Channel’s latest preview clip and the show’s official trailer.

Now I have another reason to tune in. Actually, I have four more reasons. The show will be loaded with great geek-friendly guest stars (continue reading…)
